Fujitsu Global announces two new professional Tablet PCs with Windows 10: they are the 12.5-inch ARROWS Tab R726/M and the 13.3-inch ARROWS Tab Q736/M. Both have last-generation Skylake-U processors and active stylus support.
Fujitsu announces an expansion of the Fujitsu ARROWS Tab product family, introducing two new professional-oriented Windows 10 Tablet PCs that will be steadily rolled out in Japan from this month – and, with the Stylistic brand, will arrive worldwide in few months.
The ARROWS Tab R726/M is not a brand new device, since it has been announced last November during Fujitsu Forum 2015 as Stylistic R726. It is a business-oriented, Surface-inspired Tablet PC (with sixth-generation Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processors) that combines performance suitable for office work with thin and light construction (14.7 mm thin and 1.25 kg heavy, even with the detachable magnetic keyboard attached) for superior mobility. The wide-format (16:9) 12.5-inch LCD display comes with Full HD (1920×1080) resolution but also a Synaptics digitizer – a first-ever for a Fujitsu Tablet PC.
The new (optional) Fujitsu Active Pen with Synaptics technology is a battery-powered, pressure-sensitive metal stylus with side buttons and a clip; unfortunately the pen cannot be hold inside the R726.
Security features of the ARROWS Tab R726/M included an optional encrypted SSD and a TPM chip; 4G/LTE WWAN internal modules and an expansion cradle are also available as optional.
The bigger, enterprise-oriented ARROWS Tab Q736/M is an upgrade of the Stylistic Q775 launched last year. This IP58-certified Tablet PC is dust and water protected – but it also features resistance to ethanol, isopropyl alcohol and sodium hypochlorite, making it safe to use for outdoor work or in hospitals since it can be kept sanitary after use by wiping with alcohol. The ARROWS Tab Q736/M uses a configurable architecture that can accommodate a variety of devices within the main body: palm vein sensors, SmartCard readers or the CLEARSURE 3G/LTE remote data-deletion solution. The 6th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors come with optional Intel vPro support and there is an optional active stylus – the technology of the digitizer is not confirmed but it is almost sure that it’ll be Wacom EMR.
