Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 with Core M and Wacom, datasheet and images

Scritto da Giacomo Fumagalli. Pubblicato in News, News and Articles

Dell Malaysia website “leaked” images and official description of the new, still unannounced 12.5-inch Dell XPS 12 2-in-1. It is a stylish, ultra-thin, fanless hybrid Tablet PC with “Skylake-Y” Intel Core M processors and optional 4K display with Wacom Active ES digitizer.

Originally leaked last month by the German website Giga, the new Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 hybrid Tablet PC has been now semi-officialized by Dell Malaysia which created a short-lived now-offline landing page for the XPS 12.

With a full-metal hull, the new stylish and BYOD-oriented Dell hybrid is a ultrathin 12-inch Windows 10 Tablet PC with Intel Core M “Skylake-Y” processors.

Apart from the name, the new XPS 12 has almost nothing in common with the Windows 8 convertible that Dell sold in 2012-2014: there is a magnesium hull and a high-resolution display, but the new device is incredibly thin (and because of this, there is no full-size USB, just a couple of Thunderbold-enabled USB-C), fanless and pen-compatible.

According to the pictures and the datasheet, the new XPS 12 will have two optional magnetic keyboards: the first one is very thin, while the second one is larger, with a glass trackpad, backlight and additional connectivity – a third USB Type-C, two full-size USB 3.0 and HDMI.
